What's the difference?

I'm beginning to wonder the whole point of it all. College being super stressful and something we have to look to in the future (well, not have to, but want to). What's the difference between going to an ivy league vs. a competitive school vs. a good school vs. a normal school? Like, is the education level terribly different from something like NAU to Johns Hopkins? And is it really worth overstressing about everything?

Cus I'm starting to get sick to my stomach from all the expectations that I can't meet and getting brain sores from thinking about the future and the future and more of the future.

But overall... What IS the big difference/deal?

Sorry for my little rant. :/

No, it is not worth getting very stressed and sick over. The differences are often exaggerated.

Honestly…I don’t think there is a big difference. I’m a senior this year and I used to make myself sick over college and whatnot.

We go to college to prepare for our futures and hopefully get good jobs. We convince ourselves that the better of a school we go to, the better chance we have of getting s good job. My mom’s best friend works as a job-placer and finds great jobs for people. She said that whether someone goes to a great private school or a public school doesn’t really matter - as long as you’ve excelled and gotten a good education, that is all that is truly important.

Hope that helps!

Do whatever feels good to you. If you can’t take the heat, take a quick step out of the kitchen. Relax, and enjoy your next couple years.

I feel the same way! I’m just taking it one step at a time.
