I didn't apply to MIT because the info session rubbed me the wrong way.
I applied to Tufts because I didn't apply to MIT and I love Boston.
I applied to Brandeis because I'm Jewish (ended up not sending the app fee)</p>
<p>i didnt apply to privates b/c of the cost...i think that was pretty dumb seeing that they now dont require you to pay at all of your parents make under $50,000 i think?<br>

<p>I was sick and the Davidson application was the most painful thing I could think about doing, so I slept right through the deadline, despite it being a top 5 choice.</p>

i applied to tufts just because someone from our school got in with around 1700/2400 sat score and mediocre grades..
i applied to northwestern just because its location is close to where my aunt lives..

<p>i didnt apply to umich because they have their own set of forms and I didnt want to annoy my teachers with extra forms to fill out because they already had to fill out several forms for me..

<p>oh yeah, and i ddnt apply to uchicago because someone i know told me its depressing there and when she went there someone actually committed suicide so they had to put bars in the windows so that students wouldnt jump out from them..</p>

<p>i'm the opposite.. i had to beg my mom to let me apply to cornell.. she was very much against it because it's in a depressing location and apparently has a high suicide rate lol</p>

Visited Caltech, and the dorms were a pigsty (probably because of the overwhelming majority of males, which was also a turn-off) so I didn't apply.
And i didn't apply to Williams because I visited it after Amherst and they're rivals (I applied to Amherst).</p>
<p>I applied to Northwestern at the last minute, because people at my school won't shut up about it, and now I've been accepted and feel kinda bad because I don't really want to go, and several classmates (who were rejected) do.</p>
<p>lolapop i didn't apply to cornell for the same reason!!! i went to volleyball camp there last summer and we had to walk back and forth a mile to the gym three times a day over these stupid hills!!!
there was a nice waterfall though :D</p>

<p>-Applied to Hopkins because the desk guy was really nice, the tour guy was funny, and they had nice bathrooms.</p>

<p>-Applied to A&M so I could at least get in SOMEWHERE since it would be automatic admission and I needed at least one safety because I have a low college self-esteem. :(.</p>
<p>-Applied to Cornell since it's awesome, the furthest I could get away from Texas without being in Canada, the party room with the satirical faculty caricatures, and the fact that our tour girl was slightly crazy.</p>
<p>-Applied to Rutgers because of their new engineering building and the essay was optional.</p>
<p>I didn't apply to Cornell because I heard it "an hour from anywhere you want to be." Applied to the University of Dallas because my mom works there. XD Avoided public Texas schools because I knew everyone from high school would be there and I thought that was lame.</p>
