I Regret NOT Applying to...

McGill... becuase i thought it was weird to apply to a school in Canada.. anyone else regret not applying somewhere?

I regret not applying to Harvard, Yale, and Stanford, because hot-dog, their new financial aid policies practically caused my family to start salivating.

I regret not applying to brown so much that I might apply next year if I don't get into any other ones... -_-; hopefully that won't happen.
oh and actually, I live in Canada, and McGill is a great school!

The UC's...all of my schools are on the east coast, and in retrospect, a scenery change would be nice.

Tufts and Barnard.

Tufts probably would have been a great fit for me, but I didn't look into it properly. I was turned off by the idea of attending an all-women's college, and I didn't realize how integrated Barnard and Columbia really are. Columbia's my dream school, and if I don't get in (which is highly probable), I wish I could have another way to experience that Columbia atmosphere.

Also, Syracuse probably would've been a much better safety for me than Marist, but oh well.

Syracuse (Newhouse) and Columbia. Columbia is one of my dream schools and I want to go there for graduate school for journalism, but I still regret not applying there for undergrad.

I regret not applying to Caltech.

UPenn, Brown, and Yale.

Columbia, I didn't b/c I hated New York, but that was before I found out it was actually highly ranked

emory and UCs.

Tufts. I couldn't find the time to write a new required essay AND an "optional" (by which Tufts means "optional if you discovered the cure for cancer") essay. If there was either one I probably could have made the time, but between my schoolwork and other apps, I decided to put my focus on other schools. It's too bad, because Tufts is a really nice school...

I regret not applying to Heaven, =\ God might have waitlisted me.

I regret not applying to the Ivies because I thought they were stuck up, mainly Princeton, Yale (where my cousin goes), Brown, and Cornell, as well as UC Berkeley and UM Ann Arbor

the UM, UMD, and UW.

University of Maryland- i was visiting my sister at GMU and realized how awesome the DC area is and how good it is for job opps. I didnt apply to any school near cities, which i totally regret (except for george mason- but that was my safety so im prob not going there). My reason for not applying was because of the crime (i know its dumb- i was looking for any reason to weed out schools and shorten my list)

University of Michigan: Ann Arbor- didnt apply because i heard they didnt give much aid OOS, but who knows. Regret not applying because they have 1 of the best meteorology programs in the country

University of Wisconsin: Madison- kind of like UM. I love that its in a medium sized city. I didnt apply because Wisconsin is pretty ffar and i dont like the cold. Also have one of the best meteo. programs in the country

=/

Barnard, NYU, UCSC, and UCSB. =\ They could've been my safeties/matchschools.

Yale, Princeton, UPenn, and Georgetown

Stanford! :(

Brown, Yale.

Vassar, GWU, and Georgetown. Vassar's so pretty and the other two have such IR programs...

More selective schools in general for me. I feel like in some cases I set lower standards for myself and later got accepted everywhere except my very strong reaches. Even some regular "reach" schools later offered me scholarships. I also wish I applied to more affordable out of state schools. All but one of the schools I applied to are in Florida, and now that I got accepted to Illinois Champaign, the OOS one, I am starting to feel the change would be nice but it's just too expensive!
