pomona, because the name has po-mo in it.
columbia, because i really like the font on their application.
northwestern, because my tour guide was really hot.
uchicago, because i thought it would be fun to try the essays.

not applying to:

sarah lawrence, because the admissions rep had an annoyingly nasal voice.
swarthmore, because i thought the cd they sent me had an ugly cover.

I'm not applying to Columbia or NYU because I've asked my teachers/professors for about 12 recs. collectively (about 4 diff. professors) and I refuse to ask for any additional ones, I can only imagine how terrified they would be if I showed up for help yet again..

I also don't want to pay for and/or take Subject Tests.

I'm not applying to any colleges that requires three SAT Subject Tests, as I have two already and I am DONE with standardized tests. Never again...

I didn't apply to Columbia because their mail/pamphlet/brochure thing gave me a papercut. But it was mostly because I didn't think I could get in.. The papercut thing is what I tell people though. :DD

I applied ED to BU because the application was fairly easy compared to other schools: one teacher recommendation, one guidance counselor recommendation, and one supplement essay. AND, I wanted to apply to a place where I had a decent chance to get into, so I don't have to deal with other applications...

not applying to yale because the reps were really old and boring and the Stanford rep said he hated it, so he transfered to Stanford. (also because i would never get in)

not applying to tufts because of the dumbos and because my friend said every girl there is butt-ugly

not applying to columbia b/c they don't use the commonapp. Also, was applying to HYP but not applying anymore b/c my SAT score is towards their 25% range rather than over the 75% range....

i'm not applying to macalester or skidmore because people with whom im really good friends with are applying there and they have lower stats than me.. and i wouldn't feel good to know that they took me over them when I probably would not attend.
