What's the longest essay you've written?

7 or 8 page research paper on censorship. In 8th grade.

Oh dear.

14 pages on the Wasteland by Eliot. Fun times.

maybe 2-3 pages? the fact that not many people have computers in my area is probably why (we don't even have a computer lab).

College is going to eat me up.

12 page research paper double spaced in 7th grade social studies...(yes, i think i was crazy at that point in my life)

A 8-10 page paper on a career of our choosing in 10th grade.

I chose sociologist, which is about the last thing I want to be.

My ISEF paper. It was 48 pages long. (Double-spaced, though, and had lots of pictures. Too bad none of the judges actually read it.)

And then there were all those 20-30 page lab reports we had to write for IB Physics. ::shudder::

~25 pages for the science fair last year.

30 so pages for a chapter by chapter analysis of Catcher in the Rye

28 pages on Stars in 8th grade science. It was hell.

I guess my science fair paper was like 21 pages double-spaced, but it had lots of graphs/charts.

Actual academic paper (not some long project paper w/pictures/diagrams or something): 12 pages on the concept of Justice in the Republic of Plato.

Research paper on psych- 18 pages.

26 pages on the math and physics behind the game of soccer... very interesting.

My 4000 word extended essay.

120 pages, i had 54 body paragraphs

3 pages double spaced, biatch

90 pages double-spaced, including works cited. Haha, I printed half of it at the school library. The librarian gave me the evil eye every time she saw me for the next couple of weeks.

Wow. 90 pages is intense. My longest was probably ~16..

25 pages on the Apollonian/Dionysian conflict in Hamlet (it was supposed to be 5-10 on any theme you wanted from Hamlet, but I love Nietzsche and The Birth of Tragedy so it ballooned.) I got an A- because I wrote 15 pages on the philosophical concepts and not enough AP practice style literary analysis. My teacher basically admitted to me I should have gotten much lower, that I never really bothered answering the question in general but rather used Hamlet as a logical premise for writing about the ideas, but she loved the philosophical ruminations in and of themselves so she couldn't give me lower than an A-. Best weeked I ever spent writing.

lol at zarathustra.

yea, Narcissa.

5 pages, double spaced. lols.
