what's the matter w/ my app

hello i'm a senior who applied to umich on nov the 1st and my app was finished on 11.18
HOWEVER! i still haven't gotten my decision yet!

ok so i called the admin office a few days ago and a lady in the office told me that i would get a decision within this month since the process usually takes 12~14weeks but is there anyone else who applied around late ovt~early nov and hasn't gotten his/her decision yet?

my sat was 1270 (toefl 260) and umich gpa was about 3.77 or something, it was just average. my stats are not great and i know umich is a slight reach for me b/c of my low sat...but i really think i should have gotten my decision either rejection or defferal by this point

do you have any idea what's going on here? cuz I believe the whole thing about rolling admission is to give advantages to those who apply earlier(who have interests in umich) than others. and that's why i applied early
now i'm worrying that i'll get rejected due to my low sat scores and that there won't many spaces left for me when they go over my app..

Michigan is known to take a long time to review applications. Also, they consider the best time to apply (in which you'll receive the quickest respose) to be before Halloween. Don't consider the wait to be a rejection because it's not. This is pretty normal.

No worries.

My app was sent in November 12th... or something like that. I just got my letter last week. They take a long time.

wow! u r in really similar situation as I am lol Good GPA but low SAT and decent toefl. I bet u u r Korean!
My decision for UIUC is taking long too. And with Michigan, I got deffered., so go me lol

what was your umich gpa? and when was your app complete? and when did you get your decision?

around end of October, and mid of November I think everything was sent. And my GPA was 3.97, and my decision, I got in mid Jan-

Average applicants like you have longer waits.
