I’m only doing it once. But I’d like to do a Master’s in Sweden, because I’m crazy.
(And it’s free, and I’d rather study than work)

The most I’ve heard of is 3 times.

The most I’ve heard is 2 or 3 times.

Four times…

At one of the local colleges, they have required interim in January, and some students choose to study abroad all four years.

Personally, I really want to study abroad in Sweden (I have a friend there), France (I’m double majoring in French), England (always had a facination), and Luxembourg (More than 90% of the population is trilingual and 60% of their population knows English as a fourth language!).

I feel like Luxembourg would be a linguist’s dream country.

…Oh. And Andy Schleck is from Luxembourg. I might only mildly have a crush on him.

Well, I’m Swedish and I’m gonna study abroad at UCLA for 4 years. I can really recommend study in Sweden though, the higher education is great. If you’re coming to Sweden I think you should go to Stockholm school of economics, Gotenburg University(or school of economics) or Lund University. Thoose schools are the best ones! If you guys seriously consider studying abroad I say; DO IT!

I want to study abroad twice to Peru and Syria (I’m learning Spanish and Arabic)

Living in Hawaii, I knew a lot of Japanese and Korean people who studied at UH all four years.

Princess, that’s not what belief means by study abroad. At a lot of schools there are programs for students to go to a school in another country for a semester and study there. Their degree is still from their main school, but they spent some time (usually 1 semester) in between their semesters at their main school at another school in another country.

Met a kid last year who’d studied abroad 3 times and was planning a 4th. I haven’t studied abroad yet, but i’d like to maybe 3 times in my undergrad if I can swing it. Not sure where i’d go though LOL i know i’d like to maybe study in England. If the chance arose i’d love to go to Hawaii.

Emma Watson is studying abroad… in England. She must be homesick or something.

We had this at my high school. We had students from Brazil, China, Japan, South Korea, and Germany. A couple would only come for like a semester or a year, but the majority came here for three-four years. Even though they had a completely American high school education and were even graduating with high school diplomas, they still had to apply to colleges as international students. I found that to be rather strange.

I wonder if anyone has studied abroad more than four times. I suppose your ability to study abroad would really depend on your college. I mean, if you go to a school with an interim, then theoretically, you could study abroad four times during interim and you could do summers abroad and possibly fit in a semester in there. That would completely differ from a school that requires you have 60 in-house general education credits and really only allows you to study abroad during your junior year.

I think it would be quite expensive and maybe a little disorienting to do it more than 2-3 times; also maybe some schools would have limitations.
