Actually, though, the best story comes from a pair of my friends:
On the last day before Christmas break, all we do in IB English is take care of the paperwork to submit our long labored over World Lit papers to IB. No actual work, so these two friends decided to ditch and take an extended lunch. The English teacher is rather the strict type, though, and actually followed up. Turns out the friends got out by calling in as their parents with excuses. So they got in-school suspension for it, which is about the stupidest punishment I can imagine: you skipped class? We’re going to punish you by making you skip class to sit in this room and do nothing for half a day. But they got to choose the half day, and they chose the half that meant missing IB English. Again. Oh, sweet irony.

I’ve never gotten into major trouble at school, partly because I have somewhat of a goody-two-shoes attitude in front of my teachers, and partly because I never get caught displaying otherwise. I haven’t done anything terrible, of course, but I’ve certainly replicated @oonawong’s game of Truth or Dare quite a few times.

Last month of 8th grade – I went to the office 5 times for 5 different reasons (roughly once a week). Almost got suspended/expelled. I had to sign a bunch of agreements and regularly meet with the Principal and Vice Principal.

Then came 9th grade and I changed.
