Alright, I went to wikipedia....

What I was thinking of is a HUMIDIFIER!

No wonder I was so confused! :3

I still don't really know how they work... what if I use a mini humidifier?

Don't know if I wanna do that in my dorm room, either. What if my roommate sucks?

Now, what about toaster ovens. How do people feel about toaster ovens instead of microwave? What about a rice cooker? Someone told me to take that, but what for?

Also wonder about how college students cook their own food...

if you're living in a dorm, toaster ovens aren't probably allowed, since it can be a fire hazard. rice cooker, all that is just too much. You can cook your own food depending on your dorm, if theres a kitchen in your building you can go for it, sometimes they'll provide cookwear, most of the time not. but if anything, you'll have a meal plan.

Oh the sheltered people who think people are talking about the vaporizers used with Vicks. :P Those kinds are just humidifiers that are warm.

And actually, the one thing that I should have brought but didn't was a humidifier. I grew up in the South where all you have to do is open a window and you get the same effect, so I didn't even think about. Then I got my first New England winter and got sick and my entire family chastized me for not getting a humidifier as it'd help my flu/cold. Even the campus nurse suggested getting one. Plus I've never been shocked so many times in my life. Next year I'm definitely bringing a humidifier.

Oh, and a boyfriend pillow. I have one at home but didn't realize how much I rely on it while typing or reading in bed. Prevents lots of backaches.
