What's the point of transferring with more credits?

So i wont be able to get into the school i want until next fall2015 since they wont take people in the spring 2015. I will have my AA by december, along with my 60units i needed to transfer. My counselor said i can go to school in spring 2015 at my community college and transfer with 70 units instead of 60. My question is, why would i want to go back and get more transfer credits? i Already have my 60 + my AA. Once i transfer im taking the upper division classes which the CC doesn't have.

Aside from the academic curiosity argument, if you were interested in taking upper level electives in subjects you’re interested in you may be able to take prereqs to those. Also applies to things in major/required if need be. For example, I took ochem as part of my materials AS, but it’s not required for my bs in aerospace. If I were so inclined I had the option to take upper level courses in the chemistry department. Same with a 200 level electrical engineering course I took.

If you transfer with 70 units, rather than 60, then you’ll only need to complete 50 units after you transfer. That of course depends on the school you transfer to, and your major, but typically, it will mean you have less to do after transferring.
