what's the point...?

LOLL. i just found out today that most colleges look at UW gpa. :/ I always thought they would look at the W gpa. My gpa for the last two years were not that decent...:/ I thought that I can rise it a little by taking IB classes. Now that I'm getting "OK" grades....pretty good in my opinion, I heard that they don't look at weighted gpa. So whats the point of doing all this AP/IB thing then?

Nobody can tell you what “most” colleges do. Many colleges do look at uw GPA, considering it more fair as it seems no two high schools weight the same number of classes or weight them the same way. Many other colleges look at weighted, perhaps figuring that anyone without a significantly weighted GPA need not apply.

What’s the point? Perhaps learning.

Also, someone with a 94 unweighted GPA with all AP classes will look a lot more impressive than someone with a 100 and no APs.

It’s better to be over-prepared than to fall short.
