What's the Required Overall IB Result For : Harvard, Oxford, MIT, Cambridge and Brown Universities?

HEY Guys,
I’m a student in Switzerland. My HLs: Maths, English B, Physics. My SLs: French, history, chemistry.
Recently, I’ve been searching quite a lot lately for the requirements of these 5 Uni.'s in vain.
your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance…

What subject would you be applying for at Oxford or Cambridge (you know you can only apply to one of them, right?)? There are specific requirements depending on the subject:

You misunderstand the American system. It is not like Europe where a qualifying score gets you into the most selective universities. That’s why your search has been in vain.

American schools look at your test scores, your grades, your essays, you letters of recommendation, and your extracurricular activities. They decide who to admit based on weighing these in a manner of their own choosing. About all that can be said is the higher your IB results the better your chances, but there is no cut off their promises admission.

US schools do not care about predicted scores nor do they give out conditional offers. They only look at your current grades for the courses and your past grades.

thank you conformist1688, i was thinking about physics and yeah i know i can only apply to one of them.
Mikemac, I already knew all of that but our school gave us a sheet to fill, and it’s written on it “required result in IB for…” . That’s the reason why i’m searching for it.
williams2021, thanks too.

Then this is what you need for Oxford: https://www.ox.ac.uk/admissions/undergraduate/courses-listing/physics?wssl=1

That might suit you better than Cambridge, where you need to apply for Natural Sciences or Math (and then switch to advanced physics courses in Nat SCi) after the first year):

Seconding Oxford for Physics.
Generally speaking for these colleges, as well as the equally strong colleges of Amherst, Williams, Pomona, Swarthmore, and HarveyMudd, 37- 38+ is a starting point to move to qualifying consideration.

You have to take the required IB scores for Oxford/Cambridge with a pinch of salt - the scores of people who are admitted are usually higher than the minimum scores.

With regards to US Universities, I can only speak for Yale, where the average IB score (including bonus points) seems to be about 43/44. Aim to get 6s or 7s (mostly 7s) for all your subjects. I imagine the average scores at its peer universities would be about the same.
