<p>I'm an international student preparing for the SATs. My prep book says it has omitted the variable section from the practice tests in the book. Could someone please tell me what it means by this? What is the variable section?</p>

<p>A section test (either math, reading, or writing) which is there just for the heck of experimenting with what students know or… so and so</p>

<p>no, they don’t tell you which section it is. its for testing questions they might use on future exams to make sure they can accurately gauge the difficulty of the questions.</p>

<p>You cannot just not answer the section, because theres no way to know which section it is.</p>
