<p>What's to stop someone from saying they were a Natonal Merit Semi-Finalist? Is there a list they can cross-reference to? My friend was thinking about just putting it down lol.</p>
<p>If you get caught you're screwed. Also, they do check once in a while, so its better just not to do it</p>
<p>Wait, if you get caught and you are or you get caught and you aren't? I know NM only sends recs to two colleges, which isn't a lot, but are you allowed to put it on applications for schools other than those two?</p>
