If you think a 2200 SAT is the worst day in your life then you honestly are living an extremely sheltered life without incorrect priorities.

I find it extremely unlikely that anyone who got < 1900 would care that much about the SAT, or getting into the top colleges. It’s all relative.

Also, no one knows whether those, say, 40 points will keep them out of their dream college or not. Admissions is such a crapshoot nowadays, especially at top universities. For example, my 2340 (740 CR, 800 on Math and Writing) would be fine for 99% of colleges but nothing special at 1%.

P.S. This isn’t the worst day of my life, though :P

^I would say that it’s excellent at 99% and just fine at 1%. Which means that it’s not going to make or break your application. If you don’t get in, it will be because of something else. A 2340 vs. a 2400 most likely won’t be the deciding factor.

By the way I’m basically in the same situation, 2360 (760 CR).

^I wish I could say I wasn’t jealous. :P

-insert joke about crazy CC nerds here-

wietersway, i just wanted to let you know that where you go undergrad does matter, to an extent, on your law school apps

Dude all I can say is if getting a 2270 on the SAT was the worst day of your life then you had a helluva life so far.
I wish I never found this site haha I felt really good about my scores before this crazy website. You people do realize though that a 2200+ is 99th %ile. And 2100 is 97th. And 2040 is 95th.
So like I said, if being better than 99+% of people makes it the worst day of your life, then you’ve had one helluva life so far. Might as well just kill yourself know, I mean how much worse can it get?

^Is that just for the total scores? I got 2340 and was in the 98th, 99th, and 99th percentiles individually.
