I don’t get allowance.

I don’t get allowance either.

My allowance is 0.00. I just have to do stuff. And I don’t have a job, mostly my only income is from babysitting.

I don’t get an allowance, but I do have a job . If it’s anything educational like books my parent’s pay for it but if it’s personal items like clothes or snacks/food outside or what we have in the fridge I pay for it.

@ elleya i’m saving all my money for college/to buy a bassoon.

My allowance is $7.35/hr for ~20 hours a week, paid every other Wednesday.

When I did get allowance, I got like 15 or 20 bucks a week, and was expected to put like 5 or 10 in savings.

My only way of income is by working/submitting stuff to competitions

Books, videogames, old cellphones, etc.

cool
how much do you make from that?

Before the recession: $100+ on random days of the year. After the recession (I do mean June 2009): $0
Sigh I need a job…

I tend to make money from odd jobs and grades (yes, I get paid for grades). I don’t really have an allowance, but the money from the jobs and grades is more than enough because honestly, I don’t spend very much money.

Technically I don’t get an allowance, but my dad usually gives me $20 a week during the school year for “lunch”.

i get money for doing chores, cleaning the house etc. which normally works out to 50 a month, then if i’m going out or want to buy something my parents will usually give me something.

I get (if my conversion is right) $35 a month. That covers my phone, going out with friends, non essential clothes, stationary, toiletries etc
If it’s somthing for school or is essential my parents pay for it, but they’re pretty stingy. I even have to pay my own travel costs and for my bikes most of the time.
I have a weekend paperround, which I get around $20 every week for, and during the holidays I do it every day, getting up to $80 a week. I also babysit around once a moth, getting $30-40 each time.

I used to get five dollars a week for lunch money, which doesn’t really cover much but I didn’t each lunch really, but my mom usually pays for anything I need since I don’t ask often

I dont get an allowance, only money on holidays

I get 10 dollars for “lunch” money. But most of the time they forget it and if I remind them, they are like “Oh”.

Holy ****.

Yeah… err I don’t think I’ve had an allowance since I was in middle school. In elementary/middle school I used to get $1/day for cleaning, doing all my homework, being on time for school, practicing instruments, etc. Just being a good kid. But every day I did something wrong I’d lose a dollar… So it usually ended up 4-5 bucks a week.

Once I got to high school my mom said I was old enough to get a job (I was 13…). Lulz anyway I’ve worked since then. I pay for pretty much everything, including SAT/AP/school stuff in addition to clothes, entertainment, gas, insurance, etc.

My mom gives me $250 a month for food, since we started eating completely different things.

I’ve saved some it to buy things like a sharp knife and spice grinder.

she’s also going to pay for my first year of college next year.

A job at thirteen?! Where did you work?
