This guys got jokes. I like it

Stanford University

Suburban location in California

Beautiful Campus w/ tons of organizations (650+) and things to do

Prestigious

Moderate Weather

5:1 Student Faculty Ratio

All around perfect (for me)

Too bad it has a 7.1% acceptance rate :/

Le Cordon Bleu.

I’m serious. Just think of the food.

Swarthmore is really nice! It is definitely one of my favorites, as a senior in highschool I am still indecisive on my “favorite”.

@frostyy It was 5.69 percent this year :O

Stanford.

As good as MIT, Caltech and Berkeley for engineering, but is way more relaxed than the other 3. Placed right next to the silicon valley. California weather. And overall, is almost as prestigious and has the name recognition of HPY.

Stanford is my favorite, but too much of a reach. UVA and Duke are probably my favorites

Bowdoin! Friendly people, quality academics, broad opportunities, top food, cute lil town, active outdoors group, gorgeous campus, just EVERYTHING

Cornell University. My first choice for so many reasons! Incredible academics that truly live up to their motto of “any person, any study” where every program is top of the line. And with that comes a very diverse group of people from across the nation and nations abroad, where with over 14,000 students, anyone can find their niche. On top of that, the campus is absolutely gorgeous combining nature with amazing architecture with buildings ranging from the classical Ivy League look, to the ultra-modern. And then of course, Ithaca’s a great town with a fantastic art and music scene with groups like non-profit Ithaca Underground that runs all ages shows featuring local bands several times a month, great restaurants and shops, first rate mountain biking and running courses, ski mountains in relatively close proximity, and of course the gorges and lakes famous to the region where anyone can participate in anything from easy canoeing to extreme spelunking. Perfect school, perfect town, and being a New York State Resident applying to the state side, a price my family can afford.

Claremont McKenna College! Woohoo.

CMC Class of 2018!.. hopefully :)

I just love how they harbor not necessarily a group full of intellectuals, but a group full of intellectual leaders. I mean, it is the “happiest school in the country,” according to the Princeton Review. I can’t wait to apply to CMC, despite little foibles in their reputation (the SAT scandal, the student passing away from using Nitrous Oxide, etc…)

Bucknell University
-Great facilities
-Very caring professors
-quality programs in arts, science, engineering
-beautiful campus
-very friendly people
-great placement of graduates in internships, jobs, & graduate school

UC Berkeley; I can commute, huge course variety, near SF

Purdue University.
One of top Engineering Schools in US. Not that difficult to get in (unless you’re trying to get into Engineering). Flexible way to change majors. Large School- This is a plus for me, with 30,000 undergrads I’ll be expose to many different ideas and perspectives of other people from all over the world. Heck I’m already seeing it now on the Facebook page.
~Words of an incoming Freshman at Purdue.

Personally - Florida State University - I grew up loving their football team and haven’t missed a game in years. Unfortunately, Its not a great academic fit. It is my super-safety school.

Academically - Rice University - Love the feel that the school has. The academics are top notch and their residential college system seems amazing. It’s my dream academic school.

Yale. Sure there’s the stellar academics and the beautiful campus, but when I visited, something intangible just felt perfectly right. It’s a huge reach, but I might as well try.

At risk of offending the wonderful college I am attending this fall, which I hope I do not, I share my son’s “favorite” school opinion. He is 15, and has his heart set on MIT. Unfortunately, I was not in a position to pursue MIT, but my dad, who was a professor and for a while worked in admissions at MIT, says he has a decent chance. The campus is great, it’s in a terrific place to live, and the academics are as good as it gets. I hope he gets in and gets enough aid to go!

Whichever one offers me the best FA for the cost of attending.

Between Boston University and USC.

BU is in the best college town in the world. Solid academics, awesome hockey team, and the best opportunities for both fun and work.

USC as its essentially the perfect school. Gorgeous campus, located in entertainment capital in the world. Best athletic team, famous people at the school, olympians, one of the most attractive student bodies, solid academics.

Bucknell University. My mom dragged me to look at it when I was a senior in HS (no way was I going to the middle-of-nowhere, PA, I told her) but I’m so glad she did. I fell in love with everything about the school–the small-to-medium size, the beautiful campus, the sense of community, the engaged/engaging professors–and I knew it was the place for me. I’m a rising senior now and I have only grown to love it more and more as time has gone on. I am just counting down the days until this summer is over and I’m back on campus!

Haverford College - Beautiful campus just outside of Philadelphia. I recently went for an interview and had a chance to spend the entire day at this college. They do have a very rigorous academic program.
