<p>Dartmouth
Cornell
Yale
Brown
Penn
Princeton</p>

<p>big gap</p>

<p>Harvard
Columbia</p>

<p>90% of these rankings have personal bias :)</p>

<p>very objectively/based on prestige, it goes (& this is how an outsider would view them):

  1. Harvard (top dog, 100% name recognition)
  2. Yale (100% name recognition)
  3. Princeton (100% name recognition)
    (here is the breaking point, it’s now a hit or miss. a normal person on the street may/may not recognize the name)
  4. Columbia (80% name recognition)
  5. Dartmouth (70-80% name recognition)
  6. Brown (70% name recognition, seriously I told someone that I was applying here, and she was like “there’s a school called brown?”)
  7. Cornell (50% name recognition. some people have no idea about this school. this student at my school who is applying to Yale said, “is that in the ivy league too?”)
  8. Penn (30% name recognition. sorry Penn, great school, but often confused with Penn state)</p>

<p>who agrees?</p>

<p>Cornell
Yale
Princeton
Brown
Dartmouth
Columbia
Harvard
University of Pennsylvania</p>

<p>I wish I could go to Cornell :(</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>Based on name recognition, it has to be</p>

<ol>
<li>Harvard</li>
<li>Yale</li>
<li>Princeton</li>
<li>UPenn (Wharton)</li>
<li>Columbia</li>
<li>Brown</li>
