BILD1 (Kiger) I was in high school bio honors in 10th grade that's it.
MATH20B (Bowers) I got a 4 on my AP test for Cal AB.
BILD3 (Kurle) Is this easier or harder than BILD1? I plan to take both of them in college.
PSYC60 (Parris) I've never taken any stats class before.
PHYS2A (Sinha) First time taking physics. Actually my major is Neuroscience&Physiology so I am not sure whether this class will suit me but I just want to give myself more choices when it comes to switching majors because I am just a little unsure about my major.

I am not taking CHEM6series because I got a 5 on my AP but what about the lab? Am I exempt from CHEM6L too? They recommend me taking CHEM6AH but I guess I am not taking it.

Also, I got placed into SDCC4 because of my low performance on the basic writing test. Any recommended instructors? Tips from previous students? (on how to survive the class, pass the test, etc.)

This is not my schedule by the way. (I've made like 4 class planners and these are classes I am curious about.)

From reading most ppl’s opinions, Parris seems like a stellar teacher. I am considering taking him fall quarter too except the prereq is 1 year of math. Do you know if your ab score covers the 1 year prereq?

I heard good things about Parris and Bowers.

Sinha: seems like his class might be kind of difficult. You’re going to have to work really hard to do well in his class if you’ve never taken physics before, just being honest. unless of course you end up having natural talent but from my experience, people who jump right into PHYS 2A really struggle so be prepared to work hard! Do lots of practice problems and seek help from tutors asap, don’t slack and you should be ok. Study old quizzes.

You’re not exempt from CHEM 7L, sadly.

All in all your schedule is too heavy but i recommend signing up for all 5 classes initially, with the expectation that you will drop at least one. IMO, if you did drop one it should be one of the BILD classes / take PHYS 1A instead of 2A (easy teacher, Sutterley) or both.

Parris is an epic lecturer. I thought I would hate stats but it’s been one of the best classes I have taken. It’s shocking that it’s not a requirement for every student.

I know two people who got exempt from Chem 6BL after showing the chem office their lab notebook from AP Chem in high school. So you might be able to get out of that class.
