What's your score progression?

From PSAT 10 --> PSAT 11 --> SAT X

And what helped you the most?

213 -> 234 -> 2370

i took the SAT once so i'm done.
just alottt of practice worked best for me.

PSAT 177- PSAT 193- SAT 2060

Since my grades didn't go up drastically, I would have to say just taking practice tests. On the other hand, I studied a few hundred vocabulary words but I don't really think it made my score increase at all.

PSAT-176->PSAT-191->SAT-2030
2 tutors-1 during the summer & 1 during the fall/winter. though...i don't actually think either one helped that much :/ i just took a bunch of practice tests. oh & really learn a good format for the essay. my essay scores went from 7->9 [with 10s on other practice tests that i would send in & have scored].

lol, almost the same scores as the person above : P

1800 => 1950 => 2250

Started with 480 Writing, ending up with 740.

164 (so bad haha) -> 205 -> 2120

Just realized i should start trying and stop taking everything as a joke, helped to boost up my score by about 40 and then doing a couple of practice tests is all.

2040 -> 228 -> 2340 -> 2330.

Practice tests.

140 to 156 to 1660 to 1840 to 1930 to 2020

132 to 184. Taking the SAT next month, hopefully I can get above 2000.

^ Wow, that's really impressive. :)

141 (i think, could be lower) -> 178 -> 1830 -> 2020 -> 2120

150 -> 213 ->2000(poor test day, aiming for 2200+)

Practice tests, but not too much. It is more important that you understand your mistakes than to just take loads of tests.

1640 (first "SAT" ever - kaplan course, went in 100% cold) -> 186 PSAT 10 -> 208 PSAT 11 (retook kaplan class over summer, started with CR/writing tutor a month before) -> 2230 jan SAT

how i prepared-
kaplan class - most of their techniques weren't actually helpful, like with writing the main ideas of each paragraph in CR sections in the margins .. that slowed me up and i was never able to finish. however, the class helped my math considerably and was just a good introduction to the SAT and what to expect on it. also obviously it forced me to practice. the tutor helped me a lottt because she gave me about 750 vocab words that i learned and if not for her, i really would've had no drive to practice CR. math i practiced a lottt on my own and it was fun for me to see how few i could get wrong per test. the math for me really just fed on itself and the better i did, the better i wanted to do. the night before the january sat i went through all the math questions i had gotten wrongg and made sure i understood them

i did a lot of timed sections - never a full sat in one shot, and practicing just helped a lotttt

200 --> 2130 --> 215 --> 2340
=) cheers

215 (80m, 71CR, 64W) -> 214 (71M, 70CR,73W)-> 2200 (760M, 750CR, 690W)

I find it interesting that if I superscore my PSATS, I have 80,71,73 for a total of 224. :)

161 (10th grade) 191 (11th grade) 2190/1480 (SAT- 750m 730cr 710w)

I only took the PSAT in 10th/11th grade and am going to take the SAT in March. So my progression is:
179 -> 199 -> and hopefully 2050+

179 -> 1810 -> 1900 -> 2060

Bah, I wished i actually practiced more. =/

223 -> 233 -> 2380

took BB tests between 10th grade psat and SAT... looked at essay preparation tips. I don't know how my CR got so much better.
