for tuition, housing, meal plans, etc...

bump
I wanna know too

Typically, if memory serves, you pay a couple of weeks after each term begins.

I believe they just changed it. The bill used to be due Sept 30 and Jan 30 which they changed to end of August and end of December. Unless you're on the payment plan.

That doesn't make sense. The whole point of paying in late September was to wait for the drop/add period to expire as adding and dropping classes can alter the tuition due. Is the university going to function on a credit/debit system now?

They changed it for Fall of 2007. I didn't say it made sense, I just said they changed it.

Personally, I always wondered how they could wait until the end of the first month before making us pay anything. I thought it was pretty rare to get to start school without a payment.

Most of us out of state parents with a heftier than average bill take advantage of Sallie Mae's program with the University of Michigan. I pay monthly starting in July - which permits me to pay for my daughter's education out of my ordinary budget. Sallie Mae has a worksheet - to determine the correct "monthly" amount - and it is interest "free" - I think only a $60 dollar set up charge (which more than compensates for the cost of money in my case).
