When applying to grad school, do colleges prefer their undergrad students?

Hi, I am hoping to become a veterinarian (and small farm owner!) some day. I am a sophomore in high school right now, and I was wondering: if I go to, say, Tufts for my undergraduate degree, will Tufts be more likely to accept me back into their graduate vet school?

Yes. In general, vet schools have much higher rates of acceptance for in-state applicants.

Specifically, Tufts admitted 33 Massachusetts residents out of 96 seats for the class of 2016.
