It seems like quite a few business transfers have been let in in comparison to most other majors. I’m sure you’ll get in, it seems like you are more than qualified

I applied into biomedical engineering and haven’t heard anything yet…I hope I get in.
I have a GPA of 3.77, with an SAT score of 1920 and ACT of 28.
I got a C one semester in Algebra II as a freshman if that affects anything…
On the other hand I took AP Calculus as a junior and got B’s in it…

I dunno, do you think I’ve been rejected? It is getting pretty late, and many of the people I know who have applied have already gotten accepted…

@Seazer

Not necessarily. Keep your head up and hope for the best. Regardless of what happens, though, remember to keep in mind that life goes on.

cuestatransfer, my gpa was a 3.22 at the time of application… after this quarter (end of March), i will be IGETC/CSUGE certified as well as major requirements completed with a total of 131 quater units.

IM VERY WORRIED BECAUSE MY GPA WAS PRETTY LOW AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION!!! slo is my top choice.

SoCalTransfer, really? i’ve been reading a few of these threads and havent seen any business admin transfers say theyve been accepted…

Im a business admin transfer and I still have not heard anything.
3.89 GPA
IGETC fulfilled

I’m a transfer student with a diagnosed learning disability but there was no where on the application where I could say I have a learning disability…Does anyone know if learning disabilities are considered in the admissions process? Does anyone else have a learning disability or know what I should do?

@Peyton91, I’ve checked into that. You have to wait until you are denied acceptance and then you can appeal providing documentation on your disability. Here’s an excerpt from Cal Poly’s response to my inquiry:

“The presence of a disability is not of itself basis for an appeal; there needs to be evidence of an unusual or persuasive nature that would justify admitting a student who otherwise would not be admitted. Examples may include: a student who has a learning disability diagnosed during high school or college, receives services and improves academic performance after receiving accommodations; a deaf student from a rural school district who did not receive adequate sign language interpreting services due to a lack of qualified interpreters in the area; a student with a health impairment who was hospitalized for a period of time during high school or college and the academic record reflects a coinciding drop in performance during that period.”

Got Accepted to Cal Poly on 2/23!
Major: Chemistry
In-State from De Anza/Foothill College
GPA:3.49

I’m still waiting from SDSU and SJSU. Has anyone heard from those two yet with a science-related major??! My status says Pending Review. I’m not sure if they’re just waiting to reject me or not. :

praewa congrats!!! im from foothill too. slo is my top choice… i got into sjsu already but i dont want to stay in the area… still waiting for slo.

Peyton91- I am a freshman @ Cal Poly with a learning disability. My experience has been that there is no consideration given to that in terms of an acceptance. It’s all by the numbers @ CP. BUT, once you get in, THEN you head over to the DRC and they get you set up with accommodations, in my case, extra time on tests. Also good to self-advocate. Let your professors know by second week of class about your LD…some will be very helpful. Best of luck to you!

@gumbylinh Congrats on SJSU! What’s your major and stats if you don’t mind me asking? And I know the waiting can be so frustrating, hang in there & good luck! :)

Has anyone been accepted for Environmental Engineering yet?

sdsenior, I’ve been on college confidential looking at post for a while I haven’t seen many if any Environmental Engineering. I’m Civil Engineer and theres only been a few of those. I hope they aren’t done…

“Thank you for applying to Cal Poly. We have received your application. No determination has been made at this time.”

I feel like it’s mocking me at this point.

“Thank you for applying to Cal Poly. We have received your application. No determination has been made at this time.”

I think I’m going to have a t-shirt made with this on it. I may as well have something to remember this experience. If I make it in, you’ll likely see me wearing it around campus. =)

According to CSUMentor.com notification of admission for Cal Poly could be as late as April 1, so I guess some of us may have to wait awhile! (SDSU, CSUS both list March 1 for their notification of admission).

Has there been a lot of architecture acceptances released for SLO yet?

cam9071 thanks for that information and best of luck to you on your admission!
I got my fingers crossed [:
