When can I start preparing for the common app?

<p>I'm going to be applying to about 11 or 12 schools, and I've done a TON of research. I'm going to apply ED I, then ED II if that is unsuccessful, then 9 or 10 other schools RD. I'm a total noob when it comes to the common app, so I don't really know how to maneuver it, if that makes any sense... any advice would be most appreciated :)</p>

<p>Meanwhile, you can start deciding on the essay topics and writing your essay. These are brand new and not the same as last year.</p>
