I’d really love to attend Northwestern, but cost is a huge factor. Financial aid packages aren’t available on CAESAR yet (or at least not for me), so does anyone know around when they typically come out?
Also, how flexible is Northwestern with changing majors? I got into Medill because I love journalism, but I also love a lot of other programs of study lol.
Thank you to anyone who replies!
There was a (recent?) announcement on their site if you go to this link and scroll down. http://undergradaid.northwestern.edu/ It says packages will be available to view on March 27th.
Thank you! I just don’t understand how they expect me to pay $600 in non-refundable fees by Friday the 24 when I won’t even know my financial aid package by the 27th. Is anyone else confused about that?
ie
((I can’t commit to Northwestern without knowing the financial aid package, but that comes out after $6 HUNDRED dollars of NON-REFUNDABLE fees are due. Did I get a due date wrong or something? Lol help))
I don’t know where you got the 24th from. The checklist in the packet I received in the mail and their website say the deadline for the $600 in deposits is May 1st.
The checklist in the packed that I received in the mail said that the deposits are due “WITHIN 1 WEEK of receiving offer of admission.” The all-caps is theirs, and it says the same thing on the inside of the packet. I was accepted on Friday, so I’d have until the 24th.
You’re right though, the website says May 1st under “Northwestern NetID & Next Steps.”
I don’t want to misunderstand something, so I’m going to call. Definitely hope it’s May 1st, though.
