I applied for the fall of 2016 and I still haven’t received the letters. I’m out of state, but I doubt it takes this long for them to process.
Another problem I have is checking the application status, due to that fact that their website doesn’t really show it and the number provided on their website is only available from ~10 AM and 2-3 PM IIRC
Usually your acceptance will be posted in your SFSU web portal first, then you should receive an email. Some Cal States do not send out snail mail acceptance letters unless your enroll. Each school is different, but I would check the web portal first.
It has been a few years since I was on the SFSU portal with my son’s. Is there an application status tab? Or a green check next to the your application? Sorry, I cannot be more help. You could try emailing admissions to ask how to check your application status.
No, you just scroll all the way down. And no, there is no green check. I’d send a photo, but whenever I tried CC would disable the link by putting asterisks in the URL.
Anyway, I am out of state, could this be an issue?
It should not make a difference if you are OOS. If you are having issues with the portal, I would email if you cannot call admissions. Hopefully, some other poster can chime in.
Acceptances from SFSU for the students at my child’s school are just starting to show up this week on the SFSU portal. If you are offered admission, after the “FA2016” there will be a column with a link that reads, “Accept/Decline”.
I got an email from SFSU reminding me to turn in my FAFSA by March 2nd. It opened with, " 2016/2017 Incoming Student: Welcome to San Francisco State University! Let us know how we can help you blah blah blah etc…" which makes it sound like I’ve been accepted but I don’t know. The student center thing is really lame.
I’m a transfer student, and just got off the phone with someone and she told me to expect a notification in late february/early march. I’m also a local applicant, so i’m guessing that students that aren’t local are going to hear back in April. I think Freshman who are local are finding out right now.
