When do my teachers have to submit recommendation letters by for early action

The Early Action deadline for some schools I am applying to is Nov. 1st. For my school, we have to fill out a recommendation request form for teachers after asking them in person that contains basic information about us, what we liked in their class, what we do outside of their class, etc. There is also a “deadline” box. What date should I write for that if the EA deadline is Nov. 1st?

What does your counseling office advise? And how do your colleges want the letters? Are they Common App, so they can just be uploaded? Are your applications just about ready to go?

Usually, the sooner the better; depends how many rec letters your teachers have to write for all students, including you.

Some colleges are firm on their deadlines for all materials, others are fine with the supplemental materials coming in up to a few weeks later. Best to check with the college.

Assuming the deadline is November 1st like you said, then that’s what you should tell the teachers.

If the EA deadline is November 1, you should put November 1 in as the deadline.

But I’d contact the teachers very soon. My D lined them up before summer break Junior year, as did many of her classmates. and some teachers have a limit tot eh number they will/can do.
