i got ap national scholar and my parents really want to know when the stupid certificate is coming... does anyone remember the date-ish from last year? i live in MA if that makes a difference.

From what I’ve heard, they come in September.

I had the same question. I’m really hoping they come sooner than that, though. Haha. It seems like they came during summer last year?

I got two 3’s and two 4’s this year, So I get just the AP scholar right?

Was this your first year taking AP’s? Because if it was, then I believe so.

Edit: I should say, I know that with three tests you’ll only be getting AP Scholar because the next highest (AP Scholar with Honor) requires four tests, but I can’t recall the average score required for AP Scholar, which is why I used the phrase ‘believe so’.

No I got a 2 on world history last year. But the description for AP scholar is just “if you get 3 on 3 or more AP exams”…

Sorry it is actually “if you get 3 or higher on 3 or more AP exams”

Then yes, you’re an AP Scholar.

I wasn’t sure if there was an average, because some of the higher distinctions require a certain average on all tests taken. Congratulations :)

Thnx! But is it supposed to say on our score report if we qualified for it? Or does collegeboard just send it if you did in September?

It’ll list any past distinctions your received, but not your 2012 award, on the score report you got earlier this summer. You’ll get the certificate in September and any reports sent after that will have it listed.
