When do students get books?

My point was, the issue is with B&N, not with TU. That happened at my older s’s school. When the school switched to having B&N manage the bookstore, poof – all the ISBN numbers disappeared, as they tried to make it harder for students not to buy through the store. But as you said-- students are clever. There too, students resell books to each other at a better rate than through the store. It was pretty easy to figure out the ISBN # from the title and edition. If there was any question, they just emailed the professor who typically quickly responded. Only time there was an issue was with either a brand new edition that hadnt been released yet or a book/manual prepared by the professor that had to be bought through the school bookstore.

I agree, its lousy that B&N witholds the ISBN #s, but hey-- they are a business, and I suspect it was part of their contract with each college when they took over the management of the bookstore.

I had never heard of Chegg! I learn so much on this site.

If you enter the title, author and edition and still get the wrong book it is no problem to order another and send that one back but I would just go into the bookstore and write down the ISBN and then order the books. Someone said that you can login to Gibson now and see what book you need. I am sure if you start now you can find out the correct ISBN and order through Chegg.
