So earlier today I got my acceptance letter in the mail. Obviously I'm super-pleased, but it contained no information about my acceptance/rejection from the Honors program.

When exactly do we find out if we got in Honors? Obviously whether or not I made it in will impact my choice of school.

Congratulations on your acceptance! That's awesome!

They don't start looking at your Honors app until you've been admitted to UW, so they are probably just now starting to pool your Honors app. They said all students will be notified by April, but you may hear back much sooner than that.

I had to wait two months before I heard back, but you may hear back within a month. It all depends.

do they send us a letter on whether we've been accepted to it or not, or is it all online? also, when do we hear about any possible merit scholarships?

Yes, they send you a letter. Unless they've changed it, you don't find out about honors online. I'm not sure when you hear about merit scholarships, mostly because I didn't get any. =P But, if you're looking for a UW-specific scholarship, check out this one: UWAA Alumnae Board: Mission, History, Officers. I'd apply for as many scholarships as possible throughout the rest of this year. This is the best time to apply because you've already developed a strong profile from preparing for college.

Yeah, I second everything Proud Husky said. Last year I got my Honors acceptance mid-January sometime, a few weeks after my regular acceptance. However, it varied a lot amongst those of us who applied to Honors, so you never know. Good luck!
