^buy the DVDs ... well season 5 and probably 7 (this season) for sure, because they're the best. Season 6 sucked, from what I remember.

season 4 by far is the best. that and season 2. season 3 was quite disappointing in my opinion.

season 1 was pretty good too though

yeah. I hate nina soooooooooo much. and i hate kim. but jack and palmer are like my heroes. they work so well together.

the best season was for sure when jack turned into a heroin addict and went down to mexico....3 i think?

My sister waits for the DVDs because she can't stand to wait a week for the next episode.

Best seasons in order: 3,1,4,2,7 (I barely remember 5 and 6 - they sucked).
3 is by far the best, although 1 is the most believable. The best hours of 24 were Jack in Mexico in Season 3. The best ending is in Season 1, and all the other endings left me somewhat dissapointed.

So, don't listen to people saying to buy any of the later seasons. A) they are more expensive and B)they suck. Get seasons 1 and 3 and you'll be hooked.

How did admissions decision dates turn into 24 season debates?

^AGREED WHOLEHEARTEDLY. 1 and 3 rocked.

really, i was totally shocked by season five, but found it enjoyable. Season three was disturbing to me simply cuz i had previously idolized jack. four and 1 were excellent! really showed the character of the ppl on the show!

Season 3 was good too ... especially when they killed off Nina. It just needed to happen...

And Season 1 is by far the least farfetched, but imo they killed of Bauer's wife way too early in the series. They should have saved it for later...

24 isn't really that believable, so I usually don't factor in that believability when I watch 24. After all, it is TV, and you watch TV to be ENTERTAINED.

So anyway... is it March 27th or April 1st?

Definitely April 1st.

Are you sure it's April 1st this year? Stanford's admissions office has always announced April 1st during past years, but they always end up announcing an earlier date before it, usually the last friday of March.

Because the last Friday of March is on the 27th, I'm assuming that decisions come out March 27.

Some colleges announce an official date, but end up releasing decisions earlier. This is true for Swarthmore, Vanderbilt, and most certainly, Stanford.

Stanford only said April 1st for now just in case they have any delay in releasing decisions.

i sincerely hope it's not the 27th... i have a scholarship interview at chapel hill that day, and after eight hours total of driving for it, a probable rejection isn't really going to brighten it up all that much. hah.

anissa, Stanford usually announces that they release decisions earlier right before they're released. Just don't check the Stanford forum on CC and the Stanford website. You can check your decision after the interview. Also, you could get accepted by some of the colleges you applied to that release decisions on the 31st (like Ivy Leagues).

I'm hoping for the 27th!

Well, I suppose I am not positive about the 1st, but I have been talking to Ms. Keene (regarding a visit to Stanford) and she said that Stanford usually releases decisions before the first deadline (like you all have been saying) but this year, given the huge increase in apps, they will be working until the deadline. I think I've said this before, but I'm just saying it again :)! Good luck!

The Stanford SCEA decisions were officially to be emailed on the 15th of December and were actually sent on the preceding Friday evening (12th). Perhaps that fact will provide some insight for your predictions.

i sincerely, sincerely hope it is not this friday. i don't think i am mentally capable of taking my dream school's rejection yet. it's too soon. way too soon. if it was any other school, it'd be okay. but not stanford :(

I'm really ready just to get this rejection thing over with. I hope it's Friday.

Just a weird question I guess---when they email you your decision, does the subject line show the decision (like "Congratulations" or "sorry") or does it simply read "Your decision". I really don't want to open my gmail page and find "SORRY" when i'm not emotionally prepared. lol

Does someone dare to call Stanford on Monday and confirm, or has anyone already done so?
