for early decision...as in actually start evaluating us.

Good question I would like to know this as well. Any current Penn students know the answer?

They started when the first applications started arriving – even before the deadline. It’s a lot to sort through, you know.

Really? Do you know when they start making decisions?

i am sure they already made a few, but you still gotta wait until December 15th to find out

Just the idea is terrifying; all of my score aren’t in yet (October ACT) so it’s unlikely that they’ve looked at mine yet.

Also I don’t know if I’m convinced about the whole ‘made decisions’ with exceptions for recruited athletes----none of our Penn Portal’s are even up as in when I click it, it still says “will be up soon” in term of organizing all my materials. Maybe its just me, but I feel like had they already made that decision, the Penn Portal would tell me what they have received and what they haven’t.

oh, the agony of waiting!

daretorun,

a friend of mine didnt even get his penn portal until he called asking for it, but he ended up getting his LL the next day anyways. I don’t even think any of his info is on penn portal either.

^^I stand corrected.
That is quite terrifying indeed.

daretorun: you need to excuse yourself from CC for about 4 weeks. You’re doing yourself no favors. Your insecurity just screams out. Go relax. What’s done is done.

Exactly right T26E4.

To everyone, your apps are in, your supporting material is in, it doesn’t matter if your reviewed tomorrow or December 12th what’s going to happen is now out of your hands. Being “freaked out”, “terrified” or “going crazy” does nothing but add heat to the situation and no light. So relax, step away from the ledge, put down the sharp objects and pick up your laptops and finish your other apps. Maybe you won’t need them maybe you will, but the sooner you accept that you might be going somewhere other than Penn, the faster the time will pass.

That was some of the best advice I’ve ever seen on the CC. Thanks.

(PS That wasn’t sarcastic)
