For ED people, have they already started reading from day one, or do they upload everyone's credentials before reading anything? What if we're missing some parts, do they still read the stuff that's already there and then catch up on the stuff mailed later??

wondering the same

They start reading as they receive them. Right now they're in the committee process, where regional reps present each application to the dean of admissions and a committee of other admissions officers.

oh jeez, just felt nervous for a second

i thought the committee process didn't start until a week and a half before (so like around the 4th/5th)

Nope, I talked to the office Wednesday, and they have already begun.

the admissions office is good, but i don't think they can consider thousands of applications, individually, in just a week and a half.

darn it. and they say that im missing my transcript/counselor rec.
that's a big downer. AHHH

ditto michelle... do you think it'll be a big disadvantage :(??

i dont know. considering that a lot of the applicant spots are filling up, if our stuff isnt in there yet, does that means our chances are going down?

EEK!

or HAVE they read what we have?

^you sure they have like already started filling up spots or do they leave it for one last final evaluation??
HAVE they read what we have?
^^what have we read?

i think what she meant is if they read the complete parts of our application and are just waiting for the missing things to come in.

okaay...thanks lwang!

anybody know the answer though to whether or not they hold off the whole thing?? lol

It really wouldn't make any sense for them to read an application that was missing something key, like a transcript...

I can't say for sure how they would deal with an app missing some of the ancillary materials though.

PhatAlbert, do you know if I'm then put at a disadvantage because of it? :(

i wouldn't worry, they probably just wait until your application is complete then they present it.

Holy crapz!
The regional rep just emailed me today with a quick question about my app. Nothing bad.
But when I read her email I just thought... OMG THEY'RE CONSIDERING ME AS I AM SURFING THE NET.
I just got really excited and nervous.

what did she ask?

She just wanted me to elaborate on a certain college class

I don't get grades for the class until after Dec 15 (so I can't send in an official transcript), but I'm going to send in proof that I'm actually taking classes at OSU.
lol, so basically it's minor detail
