Judy,
All official notifications of admission to USC are via USMail. These international students are receiving a DHL notification a package is coming to them.

Even students in Los Angeles must wait for the official thick packet. If, indeed, domestic packets were mailed today from the office, those students should be notified in the next two days depending on zip code.

Yes, it is faster to receive the happy news of admission via e-mail. It is not SC’s way to send a denial e-mail. Students who are not admitted receive a formal letter of regret.

Im here in Los Angeles, hoping to get a phone call at work tomorrow from my daughter telling me she has been accepted. Did this same waiting 2 years ago. Hoping for the same results. My oldest loves it at SC. Good luck to all

Assuming that all admissions decisons were sent out today, how long would it take an acceptance package to reach new york and how long would it take a rejection letter?

if we get an e-mail from DHL, should it be today? or can some also be sent out tomorrow? i’m in france and i’ve been freaking out for the past 3 hours with no e-mail! :((

Scorpion,
I do not know. The admissions notifications are different this year, so it is new to me as well. I would not worry if you do not receive anything today. About 12% of the freshmen will be international, so there should be more DHL notices being sent.

Wait when you guys say youre internationals living in the US, what do you mean exactly? I was born internationally and I am a permanent resident, not a citizen, but I’ve lived here most of my life… I should be getting a normal envelope right?

As I understand, permanent residents AND US Citizens are classified under the same category, so I’d assume you’ll be getting a regular (hopefully BIGBIGBIG) envelope!

I was born internationally, came to the US, but am still in the process of becoming a permanent resident/citizen. Therefore, I had to apply as an international applicant.
