essay
An experience that was really influential in my life it was when I arrived to the United States everything was completely different than my country lifestyle for example the food, the people, the traditions and the language were different than back on my hometown, the language was one of the most difficult barriers to overcome.
The first day I went to school, I got to the main office and I had to wait for 4 hours to get my schedule, after I got my schedule they told me to go directly to my class, but because I used to attend to a school with no more than 250 students and this school had over 3000 students I was scared that I would get lost and had no clue on how to get to my classes I had a deep breath and started to look from the first to the third floor of the school for my assigned classroom until a school security told me something in English that confused me because I didn't understand him and he noticed my confusion that is why he scolded me to class when I got to my class, the class was finished and the bell rang so I had to pass with the same situation over and over again until the end of the day and that day I promised myself deal with this situation and not give up so easily and until now I'm dealing with it.
Also another experience I had is that it's not easy to watch my parents working in a job that doesn't apply to their careers for example my mother used to work as a nurse in my country but when she got to the United States she started working in the school serving lunch to kids, and my dad used to be a civil engineer but now he works on a hotel's maintenance this sacrifice showed me how much my parents care about me and my sister's future and that taught me what sacrifice a parent can do to show their true love for their children looking at this made me think about my future and what I really want for my life.
This experience made me focus and take even more serious my studies and it put me a goal in my life which is in getting into a highly respected university and seek the career I really want, I also learned that I have to make a sacrifice such as giving all my effort to be someone in this life and show my parents that their sacrifice wasn't in vain and also do this for myself

I would focus the essay on the part about your parents. The rest tells little they have not heard a million times. Having the essay be about the sacrifices to get where you want to go would be much more interesting and unique. Also, have a teacher check your grammar.
