When is Enough Enough?

Hello All,
I was wondering how many times should one stop retaking the SAT. I personally have a 4.0 GPA and got a 1930 on my first SAT in march. I am retaking in may because my target range would idealistically be ~2100. I'm afraid if i don't get it in May, assuming i maintain my 1930, should I retake it later to make it the third time I've taken the test or should I just live with my score?

Thanks,
JR

I might retake October of senior year if you maintain the same score, but wouldn't take it more than 3 times. Use your Saturdays to do something more fun than take the SAT...

You took it in March, so I don't understand why you would take it again in May. You may as well take a practice test from the Official SAT Study Guide in May to see how much you've improved. I recommend that people take the SAT once in the spring of junior year, and if you're not happy with your score, prepare over the summer, and take it again in October. If you want to check up on how much you're improving, take a practice test from the Official SAT Study Guide. There are eight tests in all. Take one every one or two months or so to evenly space it.

I might've done it while I was ****ed at 5 AM ;). Is it worth paying the fee to reschedule? (how much is it?)

I took the SAT in Dec, got a 2070, went through the entire break without studying, took it in Jan, got a 2230.

So retaking in May isn't that bad of an idea, if you get lucky.

3 times shouldn't be too much.
