i know it sounds stupid but i'm getting a little anxious about confirming my enrollment, but i haven't even visited some of my colleges. especially for maryland..i'm going to visit march 10th, but i'm also visiting some other colleges, and the last open house date could be march 31st or april 8th. is everyone like me, confirming it around april? or will i not get the housing i want or the orientation day i'd like because i'd be confirming it too late?

I don't think I will confirm until april. i probably will do it the last week or something. I want to check out all my schools so.... about housing i am not sure. I am sure there are a lot of people in the same boat.

I am also going on the 10th, I think... I was hoping to spend the night but none of the dates fit my schedule. Do we have to schedule a visit if we are not spending the night?

I confirmed! I only visited 2 out of 4 of my schools but I fell in love with College Park and it's been my dream school since like 10th grade lol.

ooo congrats! well yeah i think i'm confirming in april cuz i haven't even visited it yet haha..but yeahh i'm afraid that's too late. does anyone else think it's too late??

i honestly don't. Many people wait to confirm to big public schools because a lot are waiting on other, more prestigeous schools, that don't even reply until April.
We are in and all of us will get rooms. The ellicott dorms may be filled actually. They say that is the best for the freshmen. I think freshmen also stay in Denton but I am not sure. Scholars kids stay at Cambridge so i think there will always be space but I am thinking about going to ellicott. It is right across the football stadium and it seems liek it would be a lot of fun.

hmm well i'm in honors, so shouldn't they SAVE a spot for honors students?? hopefully..
if you're not in honors however, do you hafta wait til all the honors spots are filled before u can get into one of the honors housing?

Confirmed, sent deposit, chose meal plan - ready to move in tomorrow. Done done done. I visited all my schools last summer - three of them don't even mail decisions until March 15th or April 1st. Three more gave me some nice money. But there's nothing that could keep me from going to College Park - my dream since I was 8 years old - and I'm READY to go!

alright and by confirming, is this requesting housing/meal plan?? no, right? so basically if i confirmed, i still wont get the housing i want til i confirm housing?

hm well idk, i was talking about umd...i think penn state has a deposit, i'm not sure. still a little scared to totally confirm even if i know i could change my mind..seems like such a hassle lol. might as well wait til i'm absolutely positive.
