<p>I heard its important to be at summer orientation. I am going out of the country over the summer and may miss it. What is the date of the orientation?</p>

Freshman orientation (2day sessions) begin in early July and continue to mid-August. They parcel out a certain number of spaces in classes, so it doesn't matter if you go to a later session, there are still spaces available for class registration. They do have alternatives to the orientation, but it was helpful to us as parents to attend, as well as to my D.</p>
