<p>Freshman arrived on August 19 this year, with classes starting a week later. I imagine next year will be similar.</p>
<p>go to cmu's main page and do a search for 2008-2009 academic calendar....it has everything you need to know! :)</p>
<p>The first day of classes is always the last Monday in August, but freshman orientation starts one week earlier.</p>
