<p>Does anybody know when is the freshmen check in date? I will be going to a foreign country during the summer and need to know the date to buy plane ticket. thx. guys</p>
<p>I don’t have the letter handy right now, but I believe orientation begins August 16th for a week, and then classes begin the end of August. Have fun in your foreign country!</p>
<p>Domestic check in, at least, is Sunday the 16th. If I understand you correctly you’re a US student traveling abroad for the summer, so that is your date.</p>

<p>For those who need to watch their dollars and sense, DS didn’t arrive for orientation week until Wedneday evening. This was in 2002 and airlines had cut flights drastically and all seats were filled early. He did OK, no problems, but he is the type of person who can take of himself and by the forth week, he had explored Pittsburgh by himself. </p>
<p>If you find that getting a plane ticket at a reasonable price is difficult, don’t worry. You got 4 years to figure it out.</p>
