When is Yale's Midyear School Report Form Due?

I tried to look on their website, but I cannot find it. Please help. I have to tell my counselor! :(

If your applying EA, it isn't. RD it will be due as soon as your mid year is completed then the counselor sends that transcript

so if you applied SCEA, you never have to submit your mid year report?

so if i applied RD, then my counselor would submit this right after first semester right? so there isnt an actual due date but it's just asap? (: thanks! i have to turn in my counselor packet info stuff tomorrow ):

I believe that's true dearsky.

mistofolis, definitely no midyear for EA.

From what I've read, for EA, you don't need the Midyear Report for acceptance (obviously), but when they're available, they want them, as well as the end of the year report (this is how some people get their acceptances rescinded). So when are they due? When they're available.

Hey I have a kind of related question. I am taking an online class that is a year class taken in one semester. Because of issues with my online teacher, I am getting a b for first quarter, which in this class's case is its semester. However, since the whole class will have concluded after the 1st semester, and assuming I finish with an a, will this hurt me at all on the midyear report, not just for yale ea, but rd schools i'm applying to?

For my school at least, the midterm report averages your first two quarter and midterm grades into a single grade for each class. There were some seniors last year with less-than-spectacular midterm performances (i.e. C's/D's) that were able to scrape by because the colleges never saw the individual grades.

There is a possibility, albeit not a huge one, that they will request first quarter grades, but unless they've been sent on your initial transcript, they probably won't.

what does it take to get "rescinded"? not just for yale but for any school...?
if you are a straight A student, but end up with 2 B's in senior year out of 6 APs (Even with a GPA of 4.5) is that a big problem?
"Rescinded" only applies to failing grades like D's and F's right, not a slight drop in them?
thanks!

No, 2 Bs will not get you rescinded.

I think you have to keep up a certain average. I know when I was talking to my friend who got into Yale, he said that he calculated it, and he could've gotten straight D's for the second half of senior and still not get his admission rescinded.

I don't know where he got his info or what, so I wouldn't completely take this at face value.

But no, I don't think a B or 2 should really hurt you all that much.
