when it comes to undergrad GPA, how is it fair that

For b-school admission, how is it fair that an applicant who went to a school where if you get a W, it is on your transcript forever compared to someone from a school where if you retake the course, the Ws and failing grades are replaced never to be seen again.

If I had this option at my public univ, my transcript would look a lot better.

Do admission people take this into account?

it isn’t. Simple as that.

this is pure speculation but i would imagine admissions boards do take stuff like this into account, but if they get applications from hundreds of schools, it must be hard to keep up on every little nuance
