I took SAT in May and did poorly, and then again in June after doing extra prep work & did better +120/math and +140/writing & both test scores went to same colleges. i've been working on all sections this summer and plan to re-take in oct but not sure whether to send to same colleges or wait until I see if my scores improved. My worry is if I do worse than June test, colleges will look at those scores as flukes. ANy advice?

it's not a "fluke"-have you seen how wide the score ranges are? it's only statistically different score if you have over a 50 point difference in a section

I'd be surprised if your scores dropped enough to matter after that big an increase on both sections. It'll cost you $$ to send the scores afterward, but if your current scores are competitive at those schools, then it wouldn't really hurt to wait to send them. Either way; it doesn't matter all that much. All the schools say they only consider your highest scores. Most superscore anyway (take the highest from each section), so I wouldn't really worry.
