Wow. That blows.

it worries me that i haven't heard yet :(
anyone get into the honors programs?

sean....my friend is from queens and he got his rd letter this past saturday. harpur.
he was guaranteed transfer for fall 2010 if his gpa is 3.2 somewhere else.
i think theyre just telling you 4/1 just in case your letter takes a little longer than others

guess they are all eop students. Some people in my class also got accepte, but they are all eops....

i applied to SOM and really want to know my decision ASAP!

I still haven't received a decision, so i guess I'll receive it closer to April 1st

my girlfriend spoke with admissions yesterday. her letter hasnt been released yet. whatever that means. anyway the admis lady said that EA deferrals would prob hear sooner than regular RD applicants.

i hope she gets in. but i doubt it.

I bet that means that there has been a decision made but the letter hasn't been sent out.

I'm really getting tired of waiting for Bing. This has made me not want to go there at all as it's just been an unpleasant process.

robb123: you sound so bitter.....don't knock the whole SUNY system because you (or is it your child?) didn't get in. Move on or move out. SUNY is a great system, without it, thousands of children would not be able to attend college without going into massive debt.

Good luck to all of you who are still waiting for admittance letters :)

Bing isn't he only school, I know many kids who haven't heard back from any of the colleges they applied to. My son still hasn't heard from 4, including Bing (deferred from EA). And in 1 case, UMass, seems like almost everyone heard (and this was 1 of my son's safeties!) and still no word from them.

I don't think there is any rhyme or reason to it. It's just the way they do things.

Last year they had notifications online, which I guess got it done sooner, but caused a LOT of diffculty supposedly, so they ended that which is why you guys are waiting so long.

But granted, if you applied EA you would have known by now. =/

It seems like a huge number of EA applicants were deferred to RD. I just think Bing had a big increase in applications this year and wanted to get a better look at the pool before making any decisions.

Hi budget,
I guess i am bitter...there is probably a 200 pt SAT difference between IS & OS scores allowing applicants to enter most state schools. Also, there is a $10-14K differnece as well. For Binghamton, there is a negative 200pt difference between IS & OS! There is only a 5-6K difference in cost.
These schools get state tax dollars to supplement thier tuition income. They are in existence to help the students of their own state!
SUNY does the reverse. You're right...I am bitter! I've already moved on and I will move out!

still no letter

both my son and daughter have not received a letter either....

My S has heard from everyone except Bing. Got into Geneseo and New Paltz.

My D has heard from everyone except Bing (EA def); into Oneonta, Stony Brook, New Paltz, Albany and Fall 2010 for Geneseo.

no letter for me either. I did get into Stony Brook
