I applied rolling admission to temple university and Stockton more than 6 weeks ago. I feel like it's a little weird that I haven't heard from the since my friend got her acceptance 2 weeks after she apied back in October. When should I hear from them?

So you applied just before the start of Christmas break and you’re surprised you haven’t heard back from them???

First, they were certainly closed for at least two weeks (perhaps longer), and, second, things are probably a lot busier now than when your friend applied back in October. You might want to check the Temple U. forum and see if they know anything more . . . but I think you’re going to have to be patient. :)

I am pretty surprised! No need to be rude! Sorry but my friends heard back very fast. And it was December 10th not before Christmas break…

Jazzy, I don’t think dodgersmom was rude to you.

I admit, I was impolite when I responded to your question this morning in the Temple forum. (After I posted, I reread dodgersmom’s reply here and saw that she specifically suggested you ask in the Temple forum. Luckily, I was able to delete my answer to you there. But I owe you an apology for my dismissive tone. I am sorry; there was no justification for it.) But, really, dodgersmom wasn’t rude.

Lol jazzy is my dog’s name and okay thank you I guess.

Don’t worry. There is a lot of time. Usually the number of applications increase rapidly in December & January. Plus, regardless of when you applied - the two week long Christmas break causes a huge huge backlog. And they would take another 2 weeks to sort out those applications received.

If you are confident of your application - you will no doubt be accepted!! :)

Also, remember - people here on CC are just trying to help you out and dodgersmom is actually right in her assessment!!

All the best anyway!! :D

Dodgersmom, I read your apology but it would not let me send a private message back! Sorry for flipping out before! Your reply wasn’t rude I was just in a bad mood. Thank you for the apology though.

December 10th is before winter break for colleges. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I know it’s hard but you will hear soon.

Yes, those that apply early (October-ish) at rolling admissions schools often get quick responses because there are a lot few applications to be reviewed at that time. Your application likely arrived with a crush of other applications, and it often takes MUCH longer to get a response (many weeks longer in some cases) if your application is not in that earlier group. There is likely nothing wrong (assuming they have not notified you that anything is missing), you are just going to have to wait. The early bird…
