I am a Junior in high school right now. Obviously, at some point this year I will have to take the SAT. Although, I am a bit stressed on when I should take it. I have the BB and have already started studying for it. I am very self-motivated and not really someone who needs a tutor. Nor will I benefit from classes. My parents even agree and so do my teachers. So, with this in my mind, I am wondering whether I should take my first SAT in January or March? I really want to take it in January but I don't want to rush myself. Then again, come March I will have AP'S on my mind as well. I have a way of studying and a timeline, and I'm leaning towards first SAT in January, take it again need be in March? I won't want to have to do the May one due to AP's. I will do June if I need to and I rather not take it senior year. Thanks!

I say take as many as possible. That’s coming from a regretful high school senior. Start as soon as you can.

I’m also a junior right now, and I just took the October test. I prepared over the summer. Personally, I think it would be best to take the test as early as you think you will be ready. If you can get around the scores that you want on practice tests by December, I would say take January. Also, in terms of accuracy of practice tests, I think the Blue Book is pretty good, but I felt that the actual test was definitely harder.
