Hmm....I'm currently a junior and going into senior year...

I'm wondering, when should I start looking at this stuff? Like now? Beginning of senior year? when I get into college? ?_?

Look at what stuff? If you want to win outside scholarships, start now. If it is finding colleges with good financial aid, now is the time to look, so you have a good list of schools before applications must be filled out. Also with some colleges, the sooner you apply, the better chance at financial aid.

another helpful thing would be to
know what your parents are willing/able to spend either from savings- from income or both
know what (approx) your EFC would be- so if a college DOES offer 100% of need- you know what you will probably have to come up with

Hm....where can I find outside scholarships?

spend some time here --

I think my question is pretty relevant to this topic.

I'm a rising junior, and I recently got an account at fastweb. I noticed that some scholarships don't need you to be going to college 06-07 or even 07-08 to qualify (I'd be going 08-09). Should I start applying for scholarships now? In the case that I won a scholarship, would they keep the scholarship and have me come back later? Has anyone tried this? While I do know that every scholarship is specific to its awarder, I was wondering if anyone here has done this.
