When to Mail Teacher Evaluations

Can my teachers mail in their Teacher Evaluations before I have submitted the common app?

I believe your teachers submit their evaluations and recommendations electronically, not via mail. So I believe they will be able to submit their evaluations before you submit the Common Application.

Anyone feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

What to do if a teacher doesn’t respond electronically to the recommendation requests?

If they don’t respond, you will definitely want to talk to them in person about it. If they hesitate to write you a recommendation, you definitely don’t want them to be writing it. A half-hearted letter of recommendation definitely will not help you on your college application. Make sure the person is enthusiastic about writing you a recommendation because a good letter of recommendation will help you on your application.

Like I said, talk to your teacher about it. There may have been some technical issues such as a wrong email address. Also, the teacher may not be checking their email as much as they should be. But you won’t know until you talk to them about it.

Teacher Evaluations can arrive before OR after the application. The order does not matter, and neither does the delivery method: online or mail.
