<p>Is there any real benefit in sending your RD application to Columbia (or any other college) early?</p>

<p>They won't take a look at your app until well after the deadline (isn't it late February and March?)</p>
<p>Is there an advantage? Of course there is-you don't have the stress of trying to fill out the application a day before it's due! I went ahead and sent mine in- it's a relief to have it done.</p>
<p>Figure after eds are out on 12/15 they take a vacation. Send as late as possible.</p>
<p>BUT - will this affect chances of getting an interview?</p>
<p>I'd say no, as You have a month for that.</p>
