Should I take AB and BC in one year or should I split it up? These are the 2 options:
Junior year:
Pre-Calc
AP Calc AB
Senior year:
AP Calc BC
AP Stats
OR
Junior year 2:
Pre-calc
AP Stats
Senior year 2:
AP Calc AB
AP Calc BC
NOTE: WE CANT TAKE BC WITHOUT TAKING AB FIRST
Is each class a semester class or year class?
Just to clarify, your math classes are just one semester long?
Will you be taking AP physics C? If so, when?
Ordinarily I would lean towards option 2 but calc is helpful for physics so I would say to take at least AB either before or concurrently with physics.
1. You don't want all that calculus senior year. In regards to physics being in calculus AB is good enough.
Each class is one semester long. AP Physics C is not offered to me.
Even though its only a semester I would still go with #1. What might help is what else are you taking junior year.
Other classes im taking junior year:
AP English 11
AP US History
AP Physics 1
AP Computer Science
Spring Choir
Fall Choir
I see no reason not to; it would be the normal sequence in college.
Personally, unless there is a compelling reason based on your other courses, I would go with option 2. That way AP Stats is fresh in your mind for the AP exam as a junior and AP Calc is fresh for the exam as a senior. As the CB prohibits taking the AB and BC exam the sane year and since in almost all cases the credit received for the BC exam will supersede credit for the AB exam, there is no reason to take both AP calc exams.
